In October 2010, peculiar art director Adrian Miranda lost his iPhone at a restaurant.
Frustrated with his carelessness and penury to buy another phone, Miranda had an idea.
"I knew I had to create something to attach to myself," Miranda said.
He took the adapter of a phone charger and glued it to a badge read off that clips onto a belt loop.
Miranda figured his invention would keep his iPhone crypt and possibly make him money in the process.
Last week, his new product, called the iKeep and another adaptation called the iKeep Charger, made the rounds at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
It caught the prominence of the Cult of Mac blog, which labeled the iKeep one of the "Best of CES, Day One."
Now, Miranda and his partners, Abundant Pola and Rene Sandera, are dealing with a surge of interest from the CES exposure.
"We've gotten more company in eight days from all over the world," said Pola, CEO of Poldera, the new company the partners started.
