Fujifilm is set to make a big deal of a splash at CES, as the company has just announced a total of 18 cameras that will be on array in Las Vegas next week.

The onslaught of new cameras refresh the entirety of the FinePix stress-and-shoot line, but noticeably absent is the company's mirrorless interchangeable lens camera, which was confirmed to be in maturity by Fuji CEO Shigetaka Komori last October.

The FinePix JX and AX series have been boosted with three new models, the JX580, JX500, and AX550. The cameras be slim form factors and are designed for ease of use. Each features a 5x (26-130mm corresponding) Fujinon zoom lens and is capable of recording 720p HD video. The cameras put up with face detection, automatic red-eye removal, and in-camera panorama stitching, but their idea stabilization systems are digital only, a technology that doesn't provide the same equal of blur-reduction as optical systems.

The 16-megapixel JX580, priced at a unmixed $119.95, packs a 3-inch LCD and a rechargeable battery.  The JX500 cuts the megapixels to 14 and the LCD to 2.7 inches, but also shaves a bit off the prize, coming in at $99.95. Both JX models will be available in red, blue, and black and should hit the street in February.
