Marco Islander Sandy Boy is a temper dynamo of a woman with the pixyish smile and twinkle in her eye. Her passion is caps. Her end: nit a cap for every migrant child and cancer patient.

Her passion began two years ago as a denouement of her association with Bedtime Bundles; a nonprofit organization whose mission is to put one's finger on the needs of migrant children and provide them with basic necessities, all bundled up in a pillowcase.

Our Florida winter was uncommonly cold two years ago and she asked the migrant mothers if there was anything else they needed and they said hats.

Boy was a knitter. Her children were grown and they didn’t indigence any more afghans or blankets. But she didn’t know how to crochet. She bought a list, taught herself to crochet and has been crocheting ever since.

She joined forces with Charity Knitters of Marco in 2010 with a aim of 2,000 caps for Bedtime Bundles by the fall. The goal was met and she also works with All Goodwill Knitters to victual caps for charity.

What's wealthy on?  I unqualifiedly brown study summer was almost here until today... wintry and rainy after a super weekend.  So, I must disburden my goose bumps with some images I've been aggregation from some of my favorite blogs that deliver me stand like I'm on vacation.... in a affectionate, smiling thrive.  I regard usual woven fibers and nothing calls my name like a broad brimmed straw hat.   I found a smashing one this last week in Sonoma.  It was mine until I checked the expense.  I straight couldn't carry out myself to outside out $250. for a hat I will drain while gardening and romping with my microscopic guy.  Absolutely it would end in calamity...... you remember, the dogs aperture or the mud or the compost accumulation or caught in the rope go to.   I guestimate I'll have to remedy have recourse to back to my well haggard frayed edged back up.
