CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- In her 11 seasons as the University of Charleston women's basketball instructor, Sherry Winn said this may be her toughest.

The veteran coach has seen wealth of up-and-down performances this season due to lack of experience.

The Golden Eagles' roster features nine freshmen and four sophomores, challenging UC to carry on with its dominance of West Virginia State when they meet in a 6 p.m. West Virginia Discussion game today at Eddie King Gym.

"Probably the most upsetting thing for me is when we come out for games and just not show up," Winn said. "I about that's fear and insecurity. The biggest thing is they need to monkeyshines hard from beginning to end and not worry about the outcome; just learn to act hard and give it your best."

The Golden Eagles have won 22 of the last 23 meetings between the teams.

UC trait guard Chrissy Keir and forward Tianni Kelly are the only two juniors, although Kelly is out with what Winn called a "medical outgoing.
