GB Wallets took a while to get off the ground, and the business plan is still shaping up. Goods quality was unsteady at first.

Then again, owner Grady Booth is only 12 years old.

Grady, a Key Persuasion seventh-grader, got the idea around the time of his birthday in April.

He was in a mall with a old china who was looking for a wallet. When Grady saw the prices, he said, "Oh, don't do that. They're so much readies."

Grady figured he could make a cool wallet that would be cheaper than the ones in stores.

He'd heard about duct seal wallets, so he went on YouTube and searched for "duct strip wallet lesson." He learned a few helpful things, but halfway through, the chastening got too complicated. So he figured the rest out himself.

That meant a lot of trial and error. At the crack on, it could take Grady most of a day to make a wallet. And those early efforts, which he offered to schoolmates for $1 or $3, didn't deal in well. Now, Grady calls them "the really bad ones.
