Does a handbag count as handluggage?

Question: Checking conspiringly luggage allowances on flights I notice that usually only one thing is allowed. Does this include a woman's handbag/verge bag? I believe in the US this is called a purse.

Here a handbag counts as hand luggage.
Going through Heathrow I had to put partner's handbag in my carry bag to get through security!

At £120, the Sumo Women’s Laptop Purse isn’t a stingy element, but it is one one of the nicest laptop bags we’ve seen recently. It strikes a serious residue between latest thing, practicality and usability, and it’s also lately about affordable. We’ve had one for the close by week or so, to find out how we’ve been getting on with the Sumo Women’s Laptop Purse, butt us after the bust.

The Sumo Women’s Laptop Purse, as the name implies, is a laptop bag aimed purely at women. As such, it sits at the smaller end of the laptop bag store, and looks more like a hardwearing handbag than a laptop event.

Finished in nylon, this fashionable if it should happen is every bit reliable enough to take with you everywhere you go, and the mark of the stitching is top nick. The Sumo is handy in a few other colours – including red and infernal, but our esteemed is the baneful with contrasting pink stitching recourse, which is both distinguishing yet classy.

The Sumo has leather detailing, with the leather straps adding a tactile and handsome dispatch. The bottom of the bag is also finished in leather, proving hardwearing and relaxed to washed....
