DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. -- The household of 18 year old Ervin Jefferson is grieving, aching for police to inquire into the two men who shot and killed Ervin outside the family's home Saturday eventide.
Police are saying that the killers are two private security guards.
Ervin's mother is insisting her son was defenceless. She wants the killers arrested and prosecuted.
11Alive News has not yet been masterful to contact the security guards for their descriptions of what happened.
"Why do you think your son was shot?" asked 11Astir's Jon Shirek.
"He was trying to protect us," said Ervin's mother, Bon-bons Grimes.
Family and friends of Ervin Jefferson, who himself was already the father of a pamper girl, said Ervin was trying to protect his family example Saturday night.
He ran outside their home on Pleasantwood Drive, off of I-20 and Wesley Chapel Method just outside the Perimeter. He was unarmed, they said, as he ran toward a crowd of people who had driven up in at least two cars, foreboding his sister.
