Allison Pederson, executive top dog of Black Creek Arts Council, said the idea for the stock started with a conversation she had in her office with Casey Gainey, arts learning staffer at Black Creek, and Darlington County Tourism Overseer Blaire Goodson. Fans of the site, the two women introduced Pederson to the excellent of the online pinboard where people organize and share things they have found online and would like to bookmark in one hamlet.
After visiting the site, Pederson said she decorated her mantle for the holidays with something she saw on Pinterest.
“Now I’m addicted,” Pederson said.
During December, a category was offered on wreath-making using a pattern discovered on Pinterest, Gainey said. Gainey said someone came into the Black Inlet Arts Center to share the idea with them. At the end of the class, the group voted on a discharge for January – frosting wine glasses and candleholders.
In the lineage, 16 women joined Gainey in learning to frost window objects.
